About Me

My name’s Alanna. I’m a recent college grad and aspiring writer struggling to make a name for myself in New York City. I’ve been writing YA fantasy novels since eighth grade and I’m trying to get them published.

I also wrote a play about a Shakespearean jester who gets punched through the fourth wall and starts harassing the audience and I’m working on a TV show/comic idea about a grim reaper named Phineas Drebber. I’d love to write for TV, specifically for Supernatural, Ninja Turtles, or Power Rangers. This comic is my way of practicing using characters that I didn’t create.

I’m a Dean Winchester addict. On occasion this inhibits my ability to function as a fully-developed human being.

When I was little I wanted to grow up to be a hobbit.

BBC Sherlock didn’t get me into Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century got me into Sherlock Holmes. (ROBO-WATSON. FEMME LESTRADE. REPRESENT).

I love Marvel Comics and my dream would be to work there and reboot Cloak and Dagger as part of a superhero street team. I was being considered for an editorial assistant job last year and I’m still hoping that someday they’ll call back.

My professional website is here. I have a writing blog where I post flash fiction sometimes here and my personal blog (which is pretty much an incestuous fandom mess) is here. And I tweet on occasion.

I’ve taken a lot of confidence hits since I moved to the Big Apple, and this comic and the people who read it make me happy enough to keep trying to follow my dreams. I love you all.

Oh and here’s a me!
